i took a lot of pictures today for my artist emulation project. i tried to make my model look "vanity faire" and glamorous haha. i either really like or dislike the lighting in these, my best ones are posted in my other blog. these have not been edited though.

i didn't take this picture because i was in the parade and it was a long day, but i like it because it sort of reflects how fun high school is, i'm not sure how to explain it. that's not exactly what i'm saying, but the picture is anyone's to interpret.

i got my nails done today and i don't do it too often, so i was cool and i was happy with the way they looked. they are definitely me.

i went to the powderpuff game today to watch the male cheerleaders. i like how all the boys jsut let loose, even though some of them seem sort of serious, normally. i think this picture is funny because it shows one of the guys with the wendy's-looking wig. it also shows some of the powderpuff football players. that's all.

i love it when you forget about something you really like for a while; it feels so great when you remember it and then you are really happy from something so simple.

i hadn't had nutella for a while and every year in french class we make crepes, so i brought the nutella in for a topping.

i decided to try one of the ideas from our blog. i think it looks kind of cool, but if i had a more interesting picture to work with it may have been more fun.

today i talked to renan! this is a poor quality picture because i took it of his webcam, which was on the computer if that makes any sense. i think it was definitely the highlight of my day. that's about all there is too it i think.

sepTEMber 16TH

i decided to experiment with lights at night. actually, not really but i was trying to take a picture of something and it turned out this way, and i thought it would be good practice for one of our upcoming assignments.

sept. fifteenth.

monday is usually a long day, but it felt kind of fast today. i took a picture of a clock, obviously to represent how time can be spent in a number of ways. sometimes it slips by, like it did today. other times you just wish things would last longer.

le 14 septembre

this picture was more or less spontaneous, but it does sum up the previous days events. i went shopping with my mom, and mark (this photo's model) only to find myself in The Fur Vault, which is quite amazing. It's best kept a secret, but believe me it is pretty awesome!

it was a busy day, and i took a picture of some gelato, but i cannot currently get the picture, as i took it without a memory card, but i will find it and then explain myself later, haha.

so i think our school crest sums up how i feel lately. there's a lot to think about with college application deadlines approaching, yet i'm still in that senior year moment where everything is 'for the last time.' friday nights, such as tonight are for poms and then hanging with friends. eventually i will move on to a similar yet different moment in college. there's just a lot to think about even if it's not stressful.

everybody's got their dues in life to pay? [this post is for my third day, september 11, 2008]

today was one of those long days that went fast. i had a lot of work to do and i wouldn't have gotten half of it done if it wasn't for music. plus, this is some aerosmith sheet music (dream on), which i play all the time on the piano. i also discovered the music-streaming website pandora.com. i love it, even though i found out about it like a year after everyone else.

the title seems ironic, as my procrastination definitely caught up to me.

i got a postcard from franziska! it's hard to believe you can get so close to someone in less than a year. i miss her so much, and hearing from someone like that can make your day, don't you agree?

S3PT3MB3R 9th

for my first picture taking days, i found myself capturing images that were not the summary of my day that i was looking for. they still mean something but were not memory-provoking.

i think i am starting to figure things out and where i am going with this. this image reflects my first day of developing test strips and 'beginning my photographic journey.' haha.

purpose

my blog will consist of a picture a day, hopefully for the whole year. i already missed a day, so i will try to officially start today, september 9th.
